Breast lift

Mastopexy is a contour surgery of the breast in patients with loss of volume in the breast tissue and sagging, which is manifested by sagging skin, although there is no significant problem with the size of the breast. The nipples are placed at the height that corresponds to the taut breast. By constricting the breast tissue is pulled up, shaped and excess skin tissue is removed.

Can an upright and full chest image be created with this operation?
In mastopexy, the breast tissue is slightly smaller than the existing breast because it is pulled tighter. If you have enough breast tissue, you may be able to get a more upright and fuller chest image during this surgery. However, if your breast tissue is insufficient, you will be decided to place a breast prosthesis during this surgery. In women with flaccid and inadequate breast tissue, an upright and full chest picture can only be created with a breast prosthesis. Nipple sensations and breastfeeding are retained during the breast lift.

What should be considered during and after the operation?
Since the operation is carried out under general anesthesia, your preoperative examinations are evaluated by anesthesiologists. Your breast lift lasts about 2-4 hours. The nipple is made higher. Therefore, there is a scar from the transition around the nipple to the dark and light areas. If excessively sagging skin is removed from the breast tissue, this scar extends in the direction of the fold line under the breast. The new breast shape is higher, firmer and firmer. You will be discharged on the day of surgery or the next morning and can return to your everyday life.

Up to a month after the operation, you should use special underwear to maintain the breast shape. Since your scars are subcutaneous and meltable sutures, suturing will not be necessary, but we still need to do your checks for the first 10 days. You should not do strenuous exercises for a month, especially no movements that strain your arms.
