Being a liposuction patient is hard, because you may be seeing many articles about it. Some articles can be written to advertise with headlines such as “Laser Lipo” or “Vaser Liposuction”. These are pure promoting strategies. On the contrary of that, choosing technique without knowing patients is a risky move.

Firstly, let us correct one misconception about these techniques. The techniques names actually stands for Laser Assisted Liposuction and/or Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction. How long is liposuction recovery?

Even though this is a surgical operation, liposuction is a minor procedure. There is no incision in this operation which makes the recovery easy.

First few weeks, you may experience swelling and bruises. Your doctor may ask you to wear medical garments such as corsette.

For the first 14 days, you may be prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection.

After that 14 days, all you have to do is being careful about your surgery marks. These marks are going to seem like black dots at first. These small dots will disappear in time. No permanent mark is expected after a simple liposuction procedure.

In conclusion, liposuction isn’t a heavy surgery. For sure there will be moderate pain, but it will be managed during your hospital stay. However, we see recovery is very easy and quick after this procedure. We are talking from experience!
